An Introduction
Hello Readers!
This is the place where I have decided to write and publish my story "Dog Rose". It's a work in progress and I hope you can stay patient with me as I am writing and changing bits of this story.
"Dog Rose" follows the lives of two individuals recently effected by the Korean war. Kim Nabi, a girl born in the North Korean county of Uiju, has recently fled to the South after her father hears talk of war. It's early enough on that border protection was not a very big problem for the family. Now her life consists of adjusting to life in South Korea. Her family finds home in the city of Pusan (current day Busan). Pusan is the home to South Korean native, Jang Hosoo. Born and raised in the city, he and his family have a stall in the local market. Kim Nabi and Jang Hosoo first cross paths when Nabi is sent out to buy food and supplies for her family. The girl, not having much money, steals from the stall next to Hosoo's. Shocked, the boy chases after her and recognises her from school. Concerned, and slightly out of pity, Hosoo offers to give Nabi what her family needs for free. The two continue their agreement, Nabi sneaking to the stall when only Hosoo is working. Through their interactions, the two become close. So close, that Hosoo almost discovers Nabi's biggest secret. And she can't allow that to happen, can she? Join the emotional rollarcoster that is "Dog Rose".
